Review of Financial
Statements
Reviewed financial statements look just
like those from an audit, but the accounting professional may
not investigate as deeply as when an audit is performed. For
example, he or she may not observe inventory or confirm accounts
receivable. As a result, the independent accountant's report
does not provide quite the level of assurance as an audit.
On the other hand, the work costs substantially less than an
audit, and we are still legally responsible for our findings.
Since the inception of such reviews in the 1980's, banks and
bonding companies in South Florida and beyond have grown familiar
with the quality of our work; many now accept this form of
report from our clients instead of requiring an audit.
